Horizon Christian Church

At Horizon Christian Church, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is for all people, not just for people who are comfortable inside a typical church.  We strive to create environments for everyone, regardless of their past or present situation, to experience the love and acceptance of Jesus Christ.  We use modern and relevent methods to communicate the Gospel message to the world in order to truly reach those far from God, and we place high importance on being a church that can spread the influence of the Gospel beyond the city in which we minister.

Horizon Christian Church exists for one simple reason: bringing people closer to God through accepting and following Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  We don’t allow status quo, traditions, or trends dictate what we do, but rather rely on the Word of God, and nothing else, for our direction and vision.  Simply put, We are a church that is prepared to follow God by doing whatever it takes to reach the lost of our world.

This means that we encourage everyone to seek Christ from their current situation, not to think that they need to clean up their act before they seek Him through the church.  We want you to dress in a way that makes you comfortable, and ask questions when you are confused.  We hold followers of Christ to the standards scripture has set for them, not to the standard of what has become normal for them in society.  We take God’s Word seriously and challenge everyone to who walks through our doors to do the same. 

Our hope, and reason for coming to Highland Heights, KY to birth this vision, is to present Jesus Christ to the area in a way that has not yet been experienced by this community.  If it looks and sounds different than the church that you’ve known, that’s probably because it is.  God has called his people to change the world and at Horizon we intend to do just that.  Want to join us?
