I later attended Milligan College in Tennessee, it's between BRISTOL and GATLINBURG for those of you who are not familiar, and studied the Bible, Sociology, and Spanish in an attempt to better understand how to help people and show them the LOVE of God while doing it. I believe that God shows himself to people through love. I know that many people have not experienced the love of God for a variety of reasons, and I hope to be a part of a movement that creates a culture of love and hospitality within America’s churches. A few years later, my wonderful husband and I moved to another “small” town in Indiana as newlyweds; after living there I no longer call my hometown small! There, we gained job and life experience that will serve us well, but we are very glad to be back in Northern Kentucky because we consider this home. I am excited to get to know the people of NKY and share our lives together. I believe that “religion” or “Christianity” or “spirituality” are all a form of sharing life together and sharing the journey that we are all on. Everyone is at a different point in their life journey, and we can all help each other, encourage each other, and learn from each other. Most importantly, we can all LOVE each other no matter what.
I believe in God. I believe that God is love. I believe that by loving people, I can show them what is most important to God. I would consider it an honor to share this journey of love with you as we discover what life has in store for each of us! |
I grew up in a “small” town in Indiana. (“Small” is a relative term!) I grew up going to church every Sunday and various days in between. I was constantly surrounded by people who served as missionaries in foreign countries, thanks to my parents. It was a rare chance for someone of my age and life situation to share with so many people from foreign countries. I learned of cultures and people and languages. Most of all, I learned that we are all in this life together, and we need to work together to make this world a better place. I admired and respected all of these people who committed their lives to helping others.
